We sponsor Worship Workshops for all church ministry teams in both North Carolina Conferences at multiple dates throughout the year on select Saturdays from 9:00AM – 12PM at Genesis UMC in Cary, NC.

We offer 4 separate workshops for churches who are planning to start contemporary worship services or churches who currently have them and want to grow this ministry.

1) Worship Leading and Service Planning Workshop  – For Pastors, Worship Leaders, and Church Leadership team members who are a part of planning a modern worship service.  In this workshop, we discuss the necessary steps for starting a new service, and finding and cultivating the qualities needed in a worship leader for a modern worship service.

2) Vocal Techniques Workshop – For singers within the worship team.  In this workshop, we focus on “hands on” vocal technique needed in a modern worship team.  A focus on understanding the format and flow of worship, and how that impacts the voice.

3)  Instrumental Techniques Workshop – For members of the worship band (any instrument).  We invite guitarists and keyboard players to bring their instrument with them to the workshop for this “hands on” clinic in instrumental technique.  We provide small percussion equipment to facilitate drummers.  We focus on the role of the band, understanding and following music form and roadmaps in worship.

 4)  AV Workshop – For AV technicians and volunteers who work AV on their church team.  In this “hands on” workshop, we offer experience operating a digital sound board, operati8ng MedaiShout projection software, and the important qualities needed in sound and video for a modern worship experience.

If you would like to attend and bring your ministry team, please go to www.singforth.org/the-worship-workshops-registration

The cost for this workshop is just $75 per church (not per person) unless you have purchased one of our Service Plans, which will make this workshop free.
